Makeup Revolution Skin Kiss Highlighter Review..

Hello Frndz :),

Today I'm goin to review the newly launched highlighter frm the 'Makeup Revolution' - Golden Kiss.
It comes in 3 shades - Ice Kiss, Golden Kiss & Peach Kiss. I'm of warm skin tone & hence I wanted to pick up Golden Kiss & Peach Kiss. Bt Peach Kiss was out of stock :( ! Hence I got only Golden Kiss.

Now, a little information abt the 'Makeup Revolution' brand -
It is a London based make up brand & guess wat, they are a CRUELTY FREE brand !!!

Price - Rs.850/-

Quantity - 14 grams ( nw, dats a  lottt of product! )

Expiry Date - 2 yrs from d date of manufacturing.

The outer carton comes color coded.
As u guys can c frm d picture abv, it comes in this gorgeous Golden colored carton (peach colored carton fr Peach Kiss & White carton fr Ice Kiss) with glossy, mirror like finish.
       
                 

At the back, they hav d ingredients list, barcode & all that stuff (as u can c frm d pic above).

               

Wen u open this up, u get d actual biggggg product inside, wrapped up in a transparent thin plastic cover. The container is actually of a gorgeous rose gold shade (not gold, as I hd thought ). Also, even though the container is pretty big in size, it's very light weight & hence easy to carry..

              

Wen u open it up, as u can c above, u will most probably raise ur eyebrows (lyk wat I did wen I first opened it up!) seeing d huge pan & d big round mirror !! The lid closes tightly wid a 'click' sound, which I personally like. Over all, I really like the packaging as it's very sturdy & travel friendly as u can carry it in ur bag/purse with out d fear of spilling.

Texture - It's very smooth & soft & easily blendable. Also, d glitter particles r very finely milled (no chunky glitter particles ) & hence it gives a natural kind of glow wen applied on skin. I wudnt say it's creamy like "My All Time Favorite Mary Lou Manizer", bt honestly, this texture is d best a drugstore highlighter can give @ this price.

              

Coverage - The coverage is SUPERB guys.. & the best part is that, it's buildable. U can get full opaque coverage in just 3-4 swipes. If want a light coverage, go for just 1or 2 swipes. That's actually more than enuf.

Pigmentation - Pigmentation is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G guys. I think rather than me explaining it, I'll show u guys, as "a picture is worth a 1000 words".The pic below is just 1 SWIPE of it. Just 1 Swipe guys.. Can U Believe It !!!???

                   

SHADE - The shade Golden Kiss is not a yellow golden one. Instead, it's a Honey-Golden shade, which luks pretty natural wen applied on the skin.

Staying Power - It stayed on me for about 7 hours without fading 👍.

• Smooth & Soft texture.

• Finely milled glitter particles.

• Easily blendable.

• Gives a natural glow wen applied.

• Pigmentation is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

• Superb, bulidable coverage.

• A little goes a long way.

• Great staying power.

• The shades Golden Kiss & Peach Kiss    will suit all Indian skin tones.

Cons :-

• I tried hard guys.. but can't think of any!

Overall Verdict:-

I must say, this is the best drugstore highlighter in the market ryt nw guys. For me, my Mary Lou Manizer is still in the first place.. But this one takes d second place. I also love the Sivanna shimmer brick ones. But this is definitely better than those. And I really think dat this is totally worth d price, even though u get discounts for this in Nykaa, Amazon & Flipkart).

So...

Review of Lakme 9to5 Primer+Matte Powder Foundation.

Welcome to my blog. As u already knw frm d title, today I'm goin to share my thoughts on the newly launched Lakme 9to5 powder foundation compact.

Honestly, I ws really skeptical abt buyin this coz of the price. Com on guys, it's Rs.600 fr this small compact!!! So there was a tug of war goin in my mind whether to buy this or not. Then few days bak I ws visiting a shopping mall near by & as I ws passing thru d Lakme counter, the SA came running to me ( u all knw hw the SAs r.. 😄) & told me abt this product. Then I thought of giving it a try n went to the counter . So if u guys wud lyk to know wat I feel abt this product & whether this is worth Rs.600, then pls keep on reading..

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION - 

Lakme 9to5's first powder foundation is a multitasking primer, foundation & powder in one that gives you even coverage with a matte finish. Primer conceals fine lines, foundation blends in effortlessly & powder gives a comfortable long lasting matte finish.

As u guys can c frm d pictures abv, it comes in this typical 9to5's beautiful rose gold outer carton with d price,shade name n all (but no ingredient list😔) & when u open it up, u get d compact in a thin transparent plastic cover.

                                         

And of course, the top of compact is also rose gold in color wid a mirror lyk finish. But the bottom part is plastic.

                                       

Wen u open d compact, there is a gud round mirror​ n the product. This part cn b flipped up n below u get the sponge in a compartment with holes. The holes r fr quick drying of d sponge n fr air circulation in case u r using d sponge wet. I really appreciate Lakme fr d thought they hv put into d packaging 😃👍. The sponge is actually a pretty decent one. If u r in a hurry or if u r in a place where u cant use a brush or beauty sponge, this comes handy. It actually applies d product decently, which ws a surprise fr me coz, lukin @ dat sponge, I didnt expect it to wrk atall!
Overall, the only con I find wid d packaging part is dat, there is no ingredient list anywhere. Bt still I luv d packaging as it is very travel friendly.

SHADE RANGE - 

It comes in 6 shades & I'm in d shade Ivory Cream, which is a perfect match fr me.

# I wud advice u guys to buy this online only if u r very sure of ur shade. Coz  frm all d online pics n    swatches I saw, I hd thought I'm in d shade Silky Golden. Bt  wen I tried it on my face @ d counter,    it appeared a little dark fr me. Ivory Cream turned out to b my perfect match.

                                                         

TEXTURE - 

I'm head over heels in love wid d texture guys.. The powder is sooo finely & perfectly milled dat it feels lyk butter. Among all d compacts & loose powders I've used till nw, I think this one hs d most buttery, creamy, smooth texture 😍! It blends so easily n appears lyk ur 2nd skin! Even if u layer it up, it doesn't get cakey atall.. 

I wud give this 10/10 fr the texture 😃👍.

COVERAGE -

According to my experience, it entirely depends on wat u r using to apply this product. It gives sheer coverage wen used with a brush & dry sponge. But with a wet sponge, u get little more coverage. I got maximum coverage wid a damp beauty blender. 

Also, even tho they claim this to b a "Powder Foundation", I really don't think this is a Powder Foundation. Bt this is a grt compact tho! 

STAYING POWER - 

OMG guys, I'm amazed @ d staying power of this one. Currently I'm having normal skin & this stayed on my skin for 7 hrs straight WITH NO TOUCH UPS 😱👍. But if u r of oily skin type, I think u may need 1 or 2 touch ups inbetween.

PROS -

• AWESOME, SUPERB, AMAZING TEXTURE 😃✌.

• Travel Friendly packaging.

• Great staying power.

• Buildable coverage.

• Doesnt luk cakey.

• Gud shade range.

• Sponge provided works decently.

• The best compact I've used till nw. 

CONS -

• No ingredient list.

• Definitely not a Powder Foundation.

• Expensive.

• Since d powder is very finely milled, there r high chances of breaking d powder if  dropped                 accidentally (or by purpose 😬). 

Overall Verdict - 

Let's b real. This is not a powder foundation guys. I hav theBalm's Photobalm powder foundation & THAT is a Powder Foundation guys.. not this. But this is the perfect drugstore compact u cn ask for. But is it worth Rs.600? Nope. I think it's worth around Rs.400-500. But if u r some1 who cn afford Rs.600 for a compact, then I wud definitely suggest u to buy this coz trust me guys.. u won't regret it. U will fall in love wid this, as I already have. 

So now comes the big question :-

                                     IS THIS PRETTY THINGS  APPROVED?

                                               YES! YES! & YES!!! 🎉🎈

I wud give this a 4.8/5 rating ( -0.2 fr d Price) AS A COMPACT & wud definitely recommend this to all those who cn afford this coz of course, lets b honest guys, this is a little expensive fr a drugstore compact. Bt, its d perfect drugstore compact & I'm totally in luv wid this 😍 as this has become my HG product nw. I hv already ordered for a 2nd one online ( coz I knw my shade nw) as I really don't want to run out of this 😊.
